GE’s Energy Smart line of LED incandescent replacement light bulbs are slated to hit stores within the next 16 months. The replacement for the dimmable 60-watt bulb will come make its debut in November, in the form of a 13-watt, smart LED.
By the end of 2012, the replacements for both 75-watt and 100-watt GE bulbs will be available in 18 and 27-watt varieties. The bulbs are expected to last up to two decades, based on three hours of use per day. According to trade data, the 60-watt bulb is the most popular light bulb worldwide, followed by the 100-watt, 75-watt, and 40-watt variations.
