A new LED lighting kit for staircases has been hailed by one sector source for enhancing safety in the home.
The LED Stair Lighting Controller, which runs up the sides of staircases and also along the edge of each step, will be an excellent tool for people who need to get up in the middle of the night but do not want to switch all the lights on and disturb others, PC World magazine noted.
It explained that the mod uses two sensory infrared beams at the top and bottom of the stairs which detect when something interrupts them and will light the stairs light up, before switching off again following a 15-second delay.
The LED Stair Lighting Controller won't really give you a red-carpet moment, but it will make your home look amazing.
It is another great example of LEDs being used in the home to create interesting lighting effects and enhancing the interior.
