Backlight Solution Of Hoarding

We are designing backlight solution of hoarding by replacing LED with Fluorescent tube lights. But there is problem of white spot and not having uniform light on the flex. So, it is requested to provide better solution for it.

Depth of flex fom LED is 2.5 – 3 inch. And we are using 1 watt high power LED.

How can we get uniform light on the flex?

I beleive the problem can be solved by placing the LEDs on the sides of the box so as to trow the light on the floroscent material which you need to put on the inner back of the box. This will need little more number of LEDs but will surely reolve the issue. If you need I can send the detailed drawing.

I just need to know how you plan to mount the LEDs. Are you using those star PCBs or making your own MCPCB? Both methods have their pros and cons. If you are going to make  this light only for once I would suggest using those Star PCB with LED mounted on them and fix them to the Alu panel with screws or some glue which can withstand the LED Junction temperature. I am working on the drawing and may take a day more as it has to be a detailed drawing.
