I used four NiCd batteries for one of my designs. Initially I faced a problem that whenever batteries got discharged lower than 0.7V per cell it damaged the cell.
So to prevent that I built in a cut-off circuit using Torex XC6120 Voltage Detector and a Power MOSFET as below
By this I was able to prevent the over-discharge of the batteries.
Does anyone know if the same cut-off circuit will work with the newly introduced silver-zinc batteries as well or I'd need to make changes to my cut-off circuit to accommodate this type of batteries?
